It’s good to have a Plan B and a Plan C for everything. And when you’re Taylor Swift, you probably need those. Especially when it has to do with something as big as your wedding.
The superstar singer and her fiancé, Travis Kelce, are set to tie the knot soon; that much we know. Earlier reports from US Weekly had put the date of her wedding at June 13, and the location in Rhode Island, where Swift owns a mansion. But then those rumors were squashed, and we were back to the drawing board. Well, more or less. We still knew that the wedding date would probably be before the Kansas City Chiefs’ training camp in late July.
But where is Swift getting married? And when will she tie the knot?

RadarOnline is reporting that Swift and Kelce are now set to marry on June 3 and that the Save the Date cards have already been sent. But where will the wedding take place? According to the outlet, instead of Rhode Island, it will take place in New York City.
The reason for the change is reportedly due to the number of people they can invite, with the outlet reporting that they scrapped the idea of doing it at Swift’s state in Rhode Island in favor of going “all out” at a different venue that can accommodate more people.
Both Swift and Kelce are big fans of New York, with Swift owning a place in Tribeca and Kelce having talked before about how much he loved the city.
Not many details are known about the new venue, though “It will take place someplace indoors,” one insider told The Daily Mail. “Taylor doesn’t want it to be like Selena’s wedding,’ the source explained. Swift’s close friend Selena Gomez married Benny Blanco in a ceremony held outdoors at the Sea Crest Nursery in Santa Barbara, California.
And one day, we might even get to see some of it. The “whole thing will be recorded,” a source told RadarOnline, with that source suggesting the singer may end up sharing some moments with the fans. Swift has made documentaries chronicling her life before, but they have mostly focused on her music. The singer was notoriously private during her relationship with Joe Alwyn, but has been much more open with the public since she first started dating Kelce, even attending Chiefs games to watch him play.
Plus, insiders say the reception will be “big” which is at least in line with what Swift herself had indicated during her press tour for The Life of a Showgirl. She told Graham Norton that the wedding would be “huge” and said she was “so excited about it” because “the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount.”
She also said then that having few guests meant you “have to evaluate or assess your relationship” with everyone to decide who makes the list. “I’m not gonna do that,” Swift added, before joking: “Anyone I’ve ever talked to (is getting an invitation).”
That probably still won’t happen, but it seems Taylor Swift is indeed going big for her wedding.
