If there’s one thing we know about President Trump is that he likes to be the story. That’s why, as King Charles prepares for a state visit to the US, there has been speculation about a possible visit with his son, Prince Harry. But there have also been reports that, perhaps, the person most interested in the father-son meeting is actually the US President, to the point that he might be engineering it.
RadarOnline is reporting that Trump is trying to mend the rift between the two by reaching out to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The outlet indicates that Trump would love to set a meeting between the two, but would settle for making sure the two talk.

“There’s real talk of framing this as a ‘peace moment.’ Trump wants to be seen as the guy who brings everyone together – whether it works or not,” an insider told the outlet.
Harry and Meghan stepped down as working royals in 2020 and moved to the United States. Recent reports about the two, particularly Harry, indicate they’re looking to reconcile with the British royal family.
But Harry has been anything but complimentary of Trump. During an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert last December, he said, “I heard you elected a king,” to laughter from the crowd and boos at Trump. And then, during a meeting of the British American Business Council, Harry commented on the upcoming World Cup.
“Next year, I know we are looking forward to welcoming more Brits from across the pond. Provided they behave and if they make it through customs and past ICE,” he said.
Trump has taken his own jabs at Harry. In 2025, when he was asked if he’d revoke Harry’s visa, Trump said, “I don’t want to do that. I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”
Still, some say that Trump is willing to put all that aside to be seen as the person who brokered the peace between the King and his son. “Trump is the ultimate showman,” sources told the outlet. “If there’s a chance to turn diplomacy into must-watch TV, he’ll take it every time… Sometimes just putting the idea out there is the move. And no one trolls the room – or the world – better than Trump.”
This comes right on the heels of a renewed conversation about King Charles’ health, sparked by a new video paying tribute to his late mother, Queen Elizabeth. Royal fans scrutinized the tone and demeanor of the monarch in the video, concluding that it didn’t look good for his health.
Reddit was filled with comments. “This is such a lovely message. Unfortunately, the King does not look well IMHO,” one user wrote. “He has aged a great deal, which is understandable. It’s not clear how harsh his treatments are or how bad the cancer is at this point, but it must be taking its toll,” a second person added.
“Charles looks terrible. Sorry. He does,” a third person said, with someone else pointing out, “He looks unsteady, and he had a hard time reading the script.”
Is the King doing well? And does his reportedly bad health mean he’ll be more likely to meet with Prince Harry? We’ll find out soon.
