When you’re someone like Taylor Swift, who is so particular about things like albums and looks, everyone expects you to be particular about your wedding, too. And honestly, weddings are the one thing everyone is kind of okay with brides being particular about. It’s hopefully a once-in-a-lifetime thing, so it should go exactly as the people involved dream about.
But now, one thing is being reported about Swift’s wedding that sounds particular, in a good way. Reportedly, there is one rule for the wedding: no wedding gifts allowed. That’s right, Swift and her husband-to-be, Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce, don’t want their friends and family to get them anything.

“They don’t need anything,” one insider told Rob Shuter. “Between them, they have more than enough. So they decided — why not use this moment to help others?”
So what are they doing? Reportedly, they will provide guests with a curated list of charities they can donate to. “They’ve chosen causes that truly matter to them,” the source explained. “Guests are being asked to donate instead of buying gifts.”
Now that’s the kind of wedding everyone can celebrate.
And reportedly, no one in Taylor’s inner circle is surprised. “This is the Taylor people know and love,” the insider added. “She’s always been incredibly generous — quietly donating, supporting fans, helping people behind the scenes.”
Swift also made waves when the bonuses she gave everyone involved in the Eras Tour were reported. And that seems to be extending to the people helping make her dream wedding come true.“Staff working the wedding can expect a very big bonus,” another source said. “Taylor never forgets the people who make things happen.”
That’s not new. “She’s built a reputation for taking care of people,” the insider said. “From tour crews to everyday fans, she shows up in a real way.”
And the people in Swift’s life are reportedly fully on board. “People love this idea,” the source explained. “It feels meaningful, intentional — and completely authentic to her.”
“If you have everything,” the insider said, “the most powerful thing you can do is give.”
Swift and Kelce are reportedly getting married on July 3, right before the Chiefs’ training camp. That gives them enough time for a party and even a short honeymoon before Kelce gets back to work. And recent reports indicate the wedding is taking place in New York, and it will be anything but small. In fact, the Daily Mail reported that it’ll be held in an “arena or museum-like space.”
Plenty of those in New York City, just saying.
The Daily Mail also reported that the wedding dress could be inspired by the one Elizabeth Taylor wore at her 1950 wedding to Conrad Hilton.
“Taylor spent so much time looking at old photos of Elizabeth Taylor when she was making her music video for that song that she became enamored with the movie queen’s style,” a source said. “So when she started thinking about her wedding dress, she looked up Elizabeth’s old gowns online.”
We can’t wait to hear all the details about the wedding in July.
